Iluka to Grafton Rowathon

This popular event used to be a 68km row from Iluka at the mouth of the Clarence River, upriver to Grafton but was revised in 2010 due to flooding and inclement weather.

The 2011 Rowathon is on Saturday, May 28, 2011

The rowathon is now a revised event starting and finishing at Grafton Rowing Club

The overall distance is now 67 km, with the course proceeding downstream from Grafton Rowing Club to Lower Southgate (a few kms upstream from Lawrence), then returning back upstream to loop around the south side of Susan Island and then back down the rowing club course to finish at Grafton Rowing Club.

As in previous years, entrants can row the whole distance themselves or share their boat with other crew members, with crew change stations available along the course:

• Grafton Rowing Club - Ulmarra ferry = 16 km

• Ulmarra ferry - Lower Southgate = 12.5 km

• Lower Southgate - Ulmarra ferry = 12.5 km

• Ulmarra ferry to Kirschner Street = 12 km

• Kirschner Street, around Susan Island to finish = 14 km

The entry fee is $25 per head, with entries due by Wednesday, May 18, 2011. The following documents can be downloaded for completing entries:
