Eight (8+)

Eights (8+) are large boats for eight people with one oar each, plus a coxswain.

All eights have coxswains.

The length of an eight is approximately 19.9m (62 feet)

The minimum weight of an eight is 96 kg ( 211 pounds)

In New South Wales, all eights must be sectioned (capable of being broken down into at least two lengths). The maximum length of any single piece of an eight is 11.9 metres (39 feet)

The A.I.F. crew who won the King's Cup at the Henley Peace Regatta in 1919.
